Love it. Who designed the covers?
The first cover to Deadly in Stilettos was designed by the publishing company I went with and the second cover, because I re-released it to fix what was overlooked, was designed by Keith Williams, a friend of mine who has his own design business. And for the Sugah series, I did. What was the hardest part of writing your book? The hardest part for me is always the blurb or synopsis. If you had it to do all over again, would you change anything about your latest book? Not for my latest book but for my debut book, I would definitely change the publishing company of choice.
Other than that, this has been a great experience for me. I know that it will only get better. God is in control of my destiny! That is SO true. What project are you working on now? It will be my first novel writing where my main character is a male.

Writing from a male perspective is challenging but awesome at the same time. It is called Diary of a Misunderstood Brotha. It is inspired by true events and I know that it will touch all who reads it. His love for poetry keeps him optimistic that life is worth living even when he feels like ending it all. Any new books coming out? I have a new book coming out this November called Suffer No More.
It is based on the life of my younger sister. She asked me to share her story, all of the ups and downs, heartaches and pain, obstacles and triumphs, and I cannot wait for readers to read it. She is truly a woman of strength and courage and I admire her so much. To be so young and have experienced all the curveballs of life and come out of it encouraging others with a smile not only on her face but in her heart is a wonderful thing. That is great!!!!
Do you have any advice to give to aspiring writers? My advice to aspiring writers is to never stop writing. If you have a passion for your craft, pursue it. I will also say, take constructive criticism and use it to become better at what you do. Interact with readers because believe it or not, they want to know you.

Newer Post Older Post Home. Sun I was able to work through the magic he taught me a trip overseas for the first time in my life! Thank you so much Calvin! I am so lucky to have people like you in my life and have the experience of a new culture as well! And on top of that: I made friends with a world famous Egyptian Opera Singer!!
My spring break is going down in the books as the best one yet! I love you guys! I was out of money and burnt out with the 18 hour work shifts, I was sleeping on my friends floor and eating ramen, feeling frustrated with my situation and I wanted to get out. For me, booking the trip itself made my life a little brighter and I went from being burnt out; to rejuvenated.
It cost me USD upfront but being someone who is not into material things the travel experience seemed like the perfect way to get me motivated to wake up everyday to work and get through some otherwise mind numbing work because I knew I had this amazing trip to look forward to. Since that trip in , I have travelled to 44 countries not a single ticket more than USD roundtrip in the last 4 years and I have become a better person learnt some empathy towards different cultures and learnt a few more languages.
I want everyone to be able to experience this for themselves and if you are someone that needs a change or just wants to destress yourself you should be able to find a great place to travel to. I had no idea what to expect in Cuba and after spending just a week there, I already want to be back. I was never a fan of traveling with a tour group but this was a lovely experience.
It was nice meeting all you guys! Such a beautiful country with so much history… too many pictures from one of my best trips ever… Here is my best batch from the DSLR… More pictures coming. Easily one of the best and most forbidden trips I have ever been on. Being without Internet and phone was a struggle at first, but the disconnect quickly gave way to an amazing appreciation of the local people and culture as well as the formation of everlasting bonds of friendship. Just got back from vacationing in Cuba. This one is going down in the record books. I encourage everyone to experience it for themselves!
I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to travel with you all.
